Training Terms & Conditions
• These Terms & Conditions apply to all courses offered by Group on Point Ltd or their subsidiaries, also referred to as ‘The Company’, ‘We, ‘Our’ or ‘Us’ for the purposes of this document.
• Group on Point Ltd is the platform on which all theory and practical training is delivered.
• By agreeing to these terms and conditions on your booking form you are agreeing to abide by the contents of these terms and conditions, this confirms acceptance.
Supported Learning, its important we support our students where possible, once we receive your application we will contact you to discuss how we can support your learning if you have informed us on our application that you may need additional support. Please refer to our supported Learning Information page. It essential before we accept any student for training we are advised of any additional needs. Failure to inform us at time of application may result in cancelation of training.
Payment
1. The total price for the training course or package purchased will be listed on your invoice which will be sent separately once your booking is confirmed.
2. A course is deemed booked once payment is paid in full. Your training manual will be despatched withing 48 hours of your payment. Sending of the training manual constitutes the commencements of your course (proof of postage, no refund or rescheduling of the course will be available after this time).
3. Payment in full and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions are required to enrol on any course and to receive access to any pre training provided by Group on Point Ltd. Lat booked courses, you must accept that you may need to attend early on your training day to study your manual, subject to prior written approval by your trainer and the availability of your trainer to attend training earlier than schedule to accommodate you.
4. Places on courses will be allocated on a first come – first served basis.
5. Payment in full must be made within 48 hours of issue of invoice.
6. Upon submitting a booking for training, whether online, in writing or by telephone, you will be given a booking confirmation by email.
7. Payment must be made by bank transfer or from a payment link we will send to you. Failure to pay within the predetermined time frame may result in cancelation of your course. All payment will be paid to Group on Point Ltd.
Cancellations
1. All transactions are deemed to be business to business. Once a training manual has been despatched your training is deemed to have commenced.
2. Due to unforeseen circumstances, inclement weather, road accidents and other force majeure, it may be necessary to cancel, postpone or suspend all or part of any training. Although every effort will be made to ensure all courses are delivered, if the company is forced to cancel any training, every effort will be made to reschedule at a mutually agreeable time. The Company will not be held responsible for additional expenses incurred by students because of cancellations for reasons that are beyond our control.
3. If you are prone to illness, suffer repeated illness or have an on-going medical complaint that may affect your ability to attend a course, you are recommended to take adequate medical insurance to cover any loss. Business insurance should be taken out to cover you should any unforeseen circumstances arise as we are not able to cover your losses.
4. If a student wishes to change the date of their training this may be rebooked at the discretion of the company but this is not promised or guaranteed, however no re-scheduling will be accepted up to and including 14 days prior to the agreed training date. No refund will be given.
5. We reserve the right to change venues (within the same city) and substitute trainers and consultants at our discretion.
6. The training shall take place on the date and at the venue set out in the booking confirmation unless otherwise changed in accordance with 5. we shall use all reasonable skill and care to deliver the event/training and comply with the information you have been provided.
7. We will contact you by phone, text, WhatsApp or email to inform you of any changes.
8. We will use the personal information you provide us:
(a) to deliver the event to you
(b) to process your payment for the events
(c) to give you information about any of the services we offer
9. Your personal information will be processed in line with data protection legislation.
10. 'Data protection legislation' means the Data Protection Act 1998, and from 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016), and any legislation which amends, extends, consolidates, re-enacts or replaces same, including any additional legislation or regulations that may be made pursuant thereto from time to time.
11. Group on Point accept no responsibility should you be declined insurance or your ability to practice is restricted by your person circumstances or a professional body.
Training Materials & Courses
1. Once course booking fee is paid in full, training materials may be posted out to you by tracked delivery. Failure to accept delivery of tracked postage is not the responsibility of Group on Point Ltd
2. The course material is the property of Group on Point Ltd and is subject to copyright, no reproduction or sharing of this material is allowed.
3. If you cancel your course, under the terms of this contract, you will be charged an admin fee of £150.
4. Any equipment included in your training will be provided on the day of your training. Any equipment purchased in advance of your course will be delivered by agreement either to your designated address or collected on the day of your training.
5. Any equipment you bring to training will be your sole responsibility. Should your equipment fail or be inadequate for you to carry out the procedures you may not be able to complete the course. No refund will be given.
6. Our courses are available at many locations in the U.K. however if we are unable to offer you a course in your geographical location or one suitable or convenient for you to attend we may refer your application to another company.
It is your responsibility to ascertain the training standards and T's & C's of any other training company. Any contract with another company has no connection with Group on Point Ltd and we accept no liability for any training you seek elsewhere. You give your permission by submitting this form that we may share your application details with another training company which constitutes GDP compliance and your permission.
Prior Training Obligations
1. You are obligated to submit your relevant qualification/certificates, if requested, to be accepted for training.
2. The company accept no responsibility should you be declined for insurance once you have completed this course. We will refer you to our insurers, we have two brokers we recommend who we have established your access to insurance.. Successful completion of the course will ensure you are eligible for insurance subject to your own insurance review.
3. The company will refer you to our insurers on the basis that your qualifications are valid and genuine. The company accept no liability should qualifying criteria change post training.
Practical Training Day
An evaluation of your practical skills will be carried out when you attend the in-class training, you may be required to bring two model. Failure to provide models, if pre agreed may result in cancellation of your course. The company may agree to try to get models for you however this is not guaranteed and may result in the cancelation of your course, subject to all terms and conditions. You cannot perform a training treatment on someone who is under the age of 18.
Your training is delivered by an independent trailer who is retained by the company to deliver training.
Assessment Days & Models
If you are required to complete an assessment day as part of your package the following apply.
1. To obtain the CPD accredited certification, the student must pass all the required course components including any practical assessments within the timeframes provided.
2. Models may not be provided for assessment/training days; students must source their own models if this has been arranged as part of your booking.
3. Students’ musts arrive on time for training, complete all elements to a satisfactory standard and remain until the training is finished and all assessments are completed. Failure to adhere to the times of the course may result in the cancelation of the students training, no alternative will be offered, and no refund made.
4. Completion of the training does not automatically guarantee certification or competence. Should you fail to achieve the required standards you may book another course at full cost. No discount will be offered. Trainers may request further case studies or that the student re-sit part of the course in order to meet the required standards.
5. All models will be required to complete a medical health questionnaire to confirm they have no conditions contra-indicative to receiving the treatment.
6. All models are required to complete the standard consultation form.
7. The company will not be held responsible for the non-attendance of models however supplied.
Certification of Qualification CPD Accredited
1. Upon successful completion of your practical assessment (and any related case studies if required) we will provide you with a digital certificate as evidence your skills. This will be sent via email.
2. Whilst our students are attending the training course or assessment, they are fully covered by the respective company insurance. Students are not covered once they treat clients when training is completed and therefore must arrange for their own insurance to be in place. Should it not be possible to obtain insurance through your existing insurer, we recommend an Independent Insurance Broker who has obtained an insurance package for our students through their underwriters.
3. For insurance purposes, individuals who are under the age of 18 are not allowed to train with us.
4. Attending the course does not guarantee certification. Our tutors will be assessing your performance throughout the training day to determine whether you can be deemed safe to practice. If our trainer does not feel you have safely demonstrated key skills, they will recommend to you and the company re sitting the practical training. This is entirely at the discretion of our trainers. This will be at full cost again to the student. Please note the course is not refundable once you have attended, in the instance you have not been certified to practice.
On the training day
1. You will be expected to arrive and leave on time.
2. You will respect other students and your trainer and any evaluations that are made. No abuse will be tolerated.
3. The course is time limited. Please bring your own refreshments as non are provided on the course.
4. Comfortable clothing should be worn.
NDA & Dispute Resolution - forbids all parties involved from releasing information regarding any business processes or plans of the other party or parties. All information is considered confidential between the parties save for legal representation. There are no exclusions. No information with regard to any dispute must be shared on any media social or otherwise, or in an y format, spoken or written. Any dispute must be registered within 7 days of the completion of any training course taken, in writing, via email only to ensure delivery. Should any dispute arise both parties understand no public or private statement must be made outside of the legal framework. any disclosure public or private will result in legal action. This NDA forms part of the terms & conditions of booking and participating in training with Group on Point & binds any person who has signed it and prevents them from discussing any information included in the contract with anyone not authorized by the NDA. This NDA supports the copyrighted material purchased as part of any training. Any claim must be served by email to hello@grouponpoint.co.uk and entitled Dispute within 7 days of training.
